WARFISH
A RESEARCH VESSEL CAPABLE OF MAXIMUM ADVENTURE
The R/V WARFISH is truly one of a kind. This custom built work of art is a 45’ floating research vessel, specifically designed for wildlife filmmaking, conservation advocacy, and shark research. She’s been featured on Discovery Channel and numerous other productions. The R/V WARFISH is more than just a pretty face—she's a workhorse, armed to battle the power of the open sea.
THIS IS A HI-TECH SHARK FINDING VESSEL
WARFISH features side scan sonar and a thermal & night vision camera, critical equipment to locate sharks. An adjustable 51" swim platform and removable side door provide superior access to the predators.
DESIGNED AND BUILT
FOR THE OPEN SEA
The R/V WARFISH is equipped with an 850hp Caterpillar C15 engine, two gyroscopic stabilizers from Seakeeper for improved stability, and is ready for the long haul with an onboard watermaker and a diesel capacity of over 900 gallons.
FILMING AND WRANGLING FROM A 360˚ ROTATING PULPIT
Capturing sharks at the surface requires better access and an even better view. The fully rotating pulpit on the WARFISH provides exactly what we need—an all-encompassing view of the blink-and-you'll-miss-it action.
THE INTENSITY OF NIGHT ACTION ILLUMINATED
The intensity always picks up at night. Equipped with two light boxes and four LED panel lights from DuraBrite for night diving & deck work, WARFISH has the lighting necessary to not only see what we're doing, but also what the sharks are doing.
2 HEAVY-DUTY ONBOARD CRANES
Filming underwater is no easy task. Our twin onboard cranes supply the muscle that is often required to deploy our equipment into the depths to capture some of the most intense wildlife footage.
OUTFITTED FOR COMFORT FOR THE ROUGHEST CONDITIONS
Capturing compelling video or conducting field research in the North Atlantic is not for the faint of heart. WARFISH is equipped with heat, AC, comfortable sleepers and modern conveniences for a relaxed experience.
